Betty DeKovner

Betty is an experienced fiduciary, having served for over 15 years as successor trustee for young adults, elderly individuals as well as an independent fiduciary to help families that are involved in disputes and litigation. She specializes in complex trust/estate and probate administrations involved with private business enterprises and/or litigation.

Prior to becoming a professional fiduciary, Betty was the Marketing Research Manager for Meguiar’s Inc., responsible for $100 million in new business development, new product planning, and sales/inventory forecasting for this major auto supply firm. Before joining Meguiar’s, Betty managed quantitative and qualitative research studies for the Gallup Organization as well as Pioneer Electronics. She also worked at Wells Fargo Bank helping seniors with mortgage service needs.

Betty’s educational background includes a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from California State University, Fullerton. She completed the Personal Financial Planning (PFP) program at the University of California, Irvine.

She serves on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Estate Planning Council. She is a general member of the Professional Fiduciary Association of California (PFAC) and is an associate section member of the Orange County Bar Association for Trusts & Estates and Elder Law Sections.

Her charitable work includes projects at Rotary International, Florence Sylvester Senior Center, Age Well Senior Services, Women Helping Women, South Coast Repertory, and Toastmasters International. She also moderated workshops for Peter Kote’s “It’s Your Money” and “It’s Your Estate” throughout Orange County.

Betty lives in Newport Beach. Her hobbies include reading, travel, golf, tennis, yoga, spirituality, music, theater and film. She is also fluent in Mandarin.
